Summary: Child kept SAFE in accident
Comment: We were in an accident today. Someone hit us hard from behind on the highway. We have the Britax carset. We have had it since my daughter outgrew her infant seat. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! She was completely fine!! It was so scary. She is 2 1/2 years old and was kept safe. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A BRITAX CARSEAT!!!!!

Summary: Great seat
Comment: I love the Britax marathon. It is quite large (I have a toyota highlander and it feels a little cramped on each side of the car seat) but the sturdiness, and ease to install and handling of the straps, its all worth it... I know its expensive but worth the cost when considering safety! [...]! Good luck..

Summary: Great seat!
Comment: We loved the Marathon. We do not have this exact design - we have the blue puppy dog prints & bones design which isn't shown on Amazon. I bought it for him when he was 6 months old & 20lbs and have used it up until now - he will be 5yrs in just 2 months and weighs 50lbs. I fully expected to use it until he was 65lbs per the seat's recommendations however, I'm not really sure that's feasible. He's very broad shouldered and lately he's been complaining that the buckle hurts between his legs. Plus, my sister-in-law has an 8 month old son and offered to buy it from me when she found out I was eyeing a Britax Parkway booster. The straps are great and the installation is easy thanks to the lock down clips on the frame of the seat. So, even though I don't think it can be used until they are 65lbs I still think it's a great seat and I got a carefree 4 ½ years use out of mine and now my sister-in-law will get use out of it also.

Comment: My wife and I bought two Britax Marathon car seats since our schedules required that one of us drop our son off at daycare while the other picks him up. We agreed that taking the seat out of her car every morning and then installing it back into my car just wouldn't be worth it. After installing this seat we both agree that it was a wise decision. Although the installation isn't very difficult, it isn't quick and painless either. The instructions provided were quite easy to follow and the Britax website actually has installation videos you can watch as well. I found them to be very reassuring that I had followed the instructions from the manual properly.

Our son seems to love his seat. He will be in this seat for quite some time and has a ton of room to grow within it as it is rated up to 65 lbs. The seat covers are made with very soft fabric and he just seems so cozy riding in his seat. It makes me wish they made these seats for adults because it just looks so comfy. The seat also comes with some of the "little things" included that just make for a better product. Simple things like velcro tabs to hold the shoulder straps to the side while loading/unloading your child go a long way in my book. Not every seat on the market has things like that available and the Marathon has made sure to include those little extras.

These seats are very highly rated for safety and it makes me feel very reassured that my son is as safe as possible when riding in the car. Make sure follow the installation instructions closely to provide the best safety conditions for your child. Your mind will be much more at ease when driving knowing that your child is safe!

Summary: Great Seat - Comfortable and Safe
Comment: We bought two of the Britax Marathon's in the Onyx when my daughter turned 1, was 20 lbs and ready to be forward facing. She has loved this seat and it has been comfortable for her during long road trips. We are replacing it only because of an accident (my daughter didn't even acknowledge the accident she was so secure!!) that completely disabled my Jeep Liberty. We're looking at a booster now that's she's 4 and over 40" tall. I would recommend this to anyone wanting safety and comfort.
