Summary: Mother of 2 Comment: As a Mother of 2 and a physician, I value the safety of my child's carseat above many other aspects of it. It is the current recommendations of the AAP to keep kids in the full 5 point harness as long as possible. When my tall 3 year-old (42") out grew his Britax Boulevard I started searching for a 5 point replacement. The Graco Nautilus met all of my requirements (saftey, comfort, & easy to clean) and was one of the most reasonably priced of the seats. It was easy to install in both my Tahoe and my Prius (took less than 10 min to get it done). It tightened down so well that it doesn't wiggle at all. (I actually used both the latch and the seatbelt to secure it since the latch system has a lower weight limit than the 5 point harness on the seat but it was unmoving with just the latch). This is one of the first seats I have not needed to have the local fire department install in order to have it completely correct. I was able to tighten out all of the wiggle myself. It was also easy to adjust for my child's height (with a lot of room to grow despite him being tall). It has 2 positions for the buckle strap so I was able to move it out and not let my son's genital area be uncomfortable from a tight strap. My son loves it. He actually asked to go extra places for the first few weeks because he liked riding in it so much. We have taken a 9 hour car trip with out a single complaint of being uncomfortable. My son likes the extra cubbies to hide snacks or toys and the drink holder works well to hold a sippy cup or water bottle. Unlike most other car seats, he is unable to unclick himself because of the design of the buckle. The material is easy to wipe down and the cover can be removed and washed if needed. I haven't found a negative in the first few months and 2 thousand miles of use.

Summary: Great seat, great safety, great price Comment: We purchased this seat for my in-laws to use in their car. Given the price and the longevity of the seat (how nice to ask them to only buy ONE seat and not two or three) I figured it was a no-brainer.
In hindsight, I almost wish I'd purchased this as the primary carseat for my vehicle. We have a Britax Boulevard and I'm very satisfied with it, but given the price, I feel the Nautilus is the same when it comes to:
- "Heft" Both seats are heavy and sturdy
- Side impact protection. While the Britax has the nifty knob to adjust for head/strap height, the Nautilus has the same wings around the head
- Ease of installation. The only difference is the clips. The Britax has the snap-in claw and the Nautilus has the standard clip
In terms of notable differences:
- Price. Nautilus is nearly 1/2 less, and you're already buying a booster
- Cup holder. The Nautilus has one built-in, so it won't become a projectile in an accident. Most purists would say anything in that cup holder becomes a projectile in an accident, and that's most likely why you won't see one on a Britax
- Cleaning. The Nautilus wipes clean with a wipe, the Britax is a stationary cover, and I'm already seeing pilling.
We have used the Nautilus on a plane (Southwest) and it was tight, but it worked. For what it's worth, we coupled with a GoGo Kidz Travelmate as this seat does weigh 25+ pounds.
I think for the long run, this seat is a winner. You get a convertible, high back booster and 100 pound booster all in one.

Summary: Great price - safe product - easy install Comment: It seems so hard to find a 5 point harness system that goes beyond 40lbs. Since our daughter was not even 3; I did not feel comfortable putting her in a straight booster. I had no idea how the safety ratings for the boosters do not apply to the younger children! I think this seat is great because it allows us to keep her in the 5 point harness (the safest means of travel) up to 65lbs AND will grow with her beyond. The price can't be beat for this level of safety! Our daughter thinks it is cool! I will be purchasing more for Nana's and Daddy's cars. :-)

Summary: Easy To Use and Love the Cup Holder and Side Pockets Comment: My son is five years old, 45 pounds, 47 inches tall, and we were set to purchase a much more expensive seat for him as he was getting too tall for his Britax Boulevard. However, on the enthusiastic recommendation of my sister-in-law and another friend we purchased the Graco Nautilus and have been very happy with it. It has a quality feel to it with all the features of more expensive models. Not only was it half of what we thought we'd be spending, it was really easy to assemble and use and my son loves the cup holder and the "hidden" pocket/receptacles on either side of the seat. He loves to take his socks and shoes off in the car and now he stashes his socks in the pockets so we don't have to look all over for them.

Summary: Fits My 24 and 45-Month-Olds Very Well Comment: This is the best non-infant car seat I've used. Both my 45 month old daughter (who is tall for her age) and my 24 month old daughter (who is a little small for her age) fit comfortably in it. They also both have comfortably fallen asleep in them. They actually use the cupholders - something they never bothered with on the 2 previous models they collectively used. With all the available customizable padding and strap options, these seats should last me well into the future.
Also, I disagree with other reviewers on the following: I do not find the fabric cheap looking, and it seems plenty soft to the touch. The crotch clasp has a protective pad around it to keep you from pinching your little ones legs, but if you adjust the straps right, that -shouldn't- be an issue anyway. Also, the crotch strap doesn't seem as short as other models I've used, such as the Cosco Scenera and the Alpha-Omega Elite. My oldest is able to undo the chest clasp, however that is a behavioral issue with my daughter (again, almost 4 years old), not with the security of clasp.
